An
opportunity to see a member organisation at work and play – a visit to the
Hungarian Chamber
Following
the Zagreb meeting, the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers invited Secretary General
Diana Maxwell to participate in an away day with the Civil Engineering Board in
the Budapest Region and then to participate in a transport conference uniting
the engineering chambers of the four Visegrad countries in the town of Györ.
A key theme of discussions at both events was the proposed planning of
the trans-european transport network (TEN-T) in Central and Eastern Europe.
Shared interests and warmth of welcome ensured that language barriers
were easily overcome.
